                                WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS REVIEWS

The film is a drama, directed by Max Joseph and starring Zac Efron, Emily Ratajkowski, Wes Bentley.
The other actors are Shiloh Fernandez, Alex Sharffer, Jon Bernthal, Vanessa Lengies, Jon Abrahams, Alice Coppola.
Cole Carter (Zac Efron) is a young aspiring DJ who lives his life dreaming, working in a club like PR and addressing for the first time the responsibilities and difficulties that an adult must take into account.
He always moves with its archetypal friends of the Valley: Mason (Jonny Weston, Insurgent), alpha male always looking for fights; Ollie (Shiloh Fernandez, Gossip Girl) who dreams of being an actor but in the meantime pretends and Squirrel(Alex Shaffer), perhaps the most responsible of the four but is still driven by the other.
Their seeming unbreakable friendship will, however put the test when Cole will approach an international DJ that will take as a protégé James (Wes Bentley, Hunger Games), and an unfortunate event will change the lives of young people forever,
This is a film for young people who think of becoming a DJ.
I think it is a good film.
I would highly recommend it to a young audience.

HITMAN : AGENT 47

HITMAN : AGENT 47

Hitman: Agent 47 is a 2015 action thriller film directed by Aleksander Bach in his directorial debut and co-written by Skip Woods (who also wrote the original Hitman film) and Michael Finch. It is based on the Hitman video game series and its main character, a mysterious assassin known only as Agent 47 (Rupert Friend).

The story starts in Berlin where the Agent 47, an elite assassin, tries to save a young woman who holds the power to overcoming their powerful enemies, who are other genetically modified humans. Why are they in danger? Why they must stop these evil people?

Pros: Action was sometimes very cool and some fight scenes were well done; the acting was above average.

Cons: Many plot holes, such as when 47 gets "shot" at the end, and they brush it off like nothing happened. The story was pretty messy.

I did not really enjoy the first Hitman, and was looking forward to a better film this time around. I did enjoy this one better, but not by much.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE

Are you in the mood for a romantic story? Do you love the Beatles’ songs? Well, you can kill two birds with one stone by watching Across the Universe, a romantic musical drama directed by the Oscar-winner Julie Taymor in 2007, which is a perfect mix of passionate love and superb soundtrack, all based on the music of the Fab Four.
The story is set in the 1960s and is about a young British worker, Jude, who sets off for America in search of his father. What he actually finds in the USA is a new world where he can experience true love with Lucy, a well-off college student. He also widens his horizons of art and music and deals with the controversial issue of the Vietnam War and the pacifist movement.
The main actors, Jim Sturgess and Evan Rachel Wood, respectively in the role of Jude and Lucy, are not only excellent in their acting roles but are also great singers of the Beatles’ songs, which accompany the scenes and help develop the plot of the film. Moreover, the director is able to create powerful and colourful images and skilfully link them with the music so that to reflect the intensity of the characters’ feelings and to convey the complexity of that period of American history.
I must tell you the truth: I have already seen it hundred times but, once in a while, I still crave for its beautiful scenes and find myself humming its tunes. So, whether you like it or not, once you decide to watch it you will become addicted!

                 THE LORD OF THE RINGS
                   -the return of the king-

The film is directed by Peter Jackson in 2003, it is based on a novel "The lord of the rings" written by J.R.R.Tolkien. It is a fantasy/adventure film and has as protagonists Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) and Samvise Gamgee (Sean Astin). It won eleven Oscars and it ranked as the best film of 2003. It was filmed in New Zeland and in the USA.

It tells the story of two Hobbits, they are creature similar to human but shorter and they live in the shire, who have the objective of destroying the ring of power in the mount Fato, which is located in Mordor, the land of Sauron. During this enterprise, Sauron starts a war and Gandalf and the king of Rohan are forced to form an army to defeat Sauron and defend the kingdom of Minas Tirith.

The acting is excellent and first-rate, the film is wonderfully directed, there are some impressive special effects and the soundtrack is great. However, the film is quite slow but it is very beautiful.

It's well worth seeing it and the previous films because I think you will like all of them, too.

FILM REVIEW-AMERICAN HISTORY X

American History X is a 1998 American crime drama film. It was directed by Tony Kaye, and stars Edward Norton(Derek), Edward Furlong(Danny Vinyard). The film was released in the United States on October 30, 1998.

The plot tells the story of two Venice Beach(Los Angeles) brothers who become involved in the neo-Nazi movement. The older brother was sentenced and served three years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, changes his beliefs and thoughts and tries to prevent his brother from going down the same path. Can he run from his past? Can he change his brother’s mind too?

The film is set in America, mostly in Venice Beach and in the prison of Los Angeles.

The story reflects the average thought of the racist Americans, in this case the thoughts of the members of the neo-nazi movement. The plot is also focused on Derek’s inside changes.

This film made me think about how people can be racist with someone that hasn’t done anything but is just different from us. I highly recommend this film because I think is worth seeing.

                         FIGHT CLUB

Fight club is directed by David Fincher, and it was filmed in England.
It is a black comedy adapted from a novel, “Fight Club”, by Chuck Palashniuk, about the life of a man who
works as management consultant.
He is the typical medium, depressed and sleepless man, and to cure his problems he frequents some
groups for terminally ill.
During a travel he discovers that his house is burned out, and the same day he meets Tyler Durden, a soap salesman.
After a few hours he calls him to stay for a night in his house, but he doesn’t say what it is waiting for him.
In fact Tyler involves the protagonist in the creation of Fight Club…
The stars are Brad Pitt in the role of Tyler, and Edward Norton the narrator. The acting is excellent, and even though the plot is difficult and the actors are very credible.
The special effects are innovative and well done. Fight club was included in 2008 in the ranking “500
greatest movies of all the time”.
In my opinion Fight Club is a wonderful movie, probably one of my favorite films.
If you like this kind of films I would recommended it.
